A&P Mechanic Job in Rome, New York

Experienced A&P Mechanics are needed to perform C&D Maintenance Checks on Wide Body Commercial Aircraft for our client in Rome, NY.

Overview:

• Inspect, test, repair, maintain, and service aircraft.
• Test engine and system operations, using testing equipment, and listen to engine sounds to detect and diagnose malfunctions.
• Examine and inspect engine or other components for cracks, breaks, or leaks.
• Remove engine from aircraft or install engine, using hoist or forklift truck.
• Disassemble and inspect parts for wear, warping, or other defects.
• Assemble and install electrical, plumbing, mechanical, hydraulic, and structural components and accessories, using hand tools and power tools.
• Modify aircraft structures, systems, or components, following drawings, engineering orders and technical publications.
• Adjust, align, and calibrate aircraft systems, using hand tools, gauges, and test equipment.
• Service and maintain aircraft systems by performing the following tasks:
• Flushing crankcase, cleaning screens, greasing moving parts, and checking brakes
• Perform maintenance IAW FAA approved technical data.
• Research FAA technical data to locate applicable data relevant to assigned tasks
• Read and interpret aircraft maintenance manuals and specifications to determine feasibility and methods of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• An A&P License is required.
• 2 years of experience as an Aviation A&P Mechanic is required.
• 6 of 24 months of recent experience as an Aviation A&P Mechanic is required.
• Wide Body experience is required.
• A-320 and/or 767 experience is preferred, but not required.
• Must be able to document maintenance performed on required forms
• Must have knowledge of design techniques, principles, tools and instruments involved in the production and use of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
• Must have knowledge of materials, methods, and the appropriate tools to construct objects, structures, and buildings
