MRO Trends Session: Training, Aging and the Future of the MRO Workforce
Find out the latest in effective maintenance training and what programs are being used to teach new procedures such as composite repairs, electrical architecture, etc. How are companies dealing with the looming scarcity of seasoned technicians and how can they find qualified maintenance staff? What incentives will make MRO careers more attractive to the next generation? What is needed in terms of education, training, career choices and more?
Paul will share his ideas on collaberatve programs MROs can use to provide the necessary training for new materials and specialized
equipment. In addition, he will share keys to retaining a qualified workforce as it relates to the use of contract labor. With 3,000 mechanics hired just in 2010, PlaneTechs' experience in attracting, hiring and retaining qualified technicians gives Paul a wealth of experience in tackling these issues in order to supply our clients with the people they need.
As VP of Recruiting Operations, Paul oversees all aspects of the PlaneTechs recruiting strategy, including its state-of-the-art candidate management technology. He also manages the company's recruiters, site coordinators and the compliance team.
Paul has been instrumental in advancing PlaneTechs' technical programs, including its centralized recruiting operations center, website and online jobs database. Each of these supports PlaneTechs leadership position in supplying the best technicians and mechanics available.
