PlaneTechs Welcomes Jim Coates as Director of Military Sales

Oak Brook, IL (May 2, 2011) - PlaneTechs is pleased to announce Jim Coates has joined the company as the director of military sales. A retired U.S. Army Colonel, Jim served 28 years on active duty before retiring on the first of January, 2009.  A highly decorated combat veteran, he served in a variety of demanding command and staff assignments during his career, which included 6 overseas assignments and 2 combat deployments. Upon his retirement from the U.S. Army, Jim went on to work in the private sector as the director of business development and capture for MPRI, a division of L-3 Communications. There he was responsible for managing business development efforts for Army and Joint Programs to expand current business and to pursue and win new business opportunities within the DoD and non-military business sectors.

Jim has a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and a Masters Degree in Strategic Studies.  A resident U.S. Army War College graduate, he is also a graduate of the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, the U.S. Army Flight School, and several other professional development schools/programs. With over 20+ years of aviation service, and 2500+ hours of operational flight time, he earned the highest designation as a Master Army Aviator.
